1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following words carry the meanings given below:

• "We / Us / Our" — Orison Temps, operating at 38 Jalan Hang Tuah, 75300 Melaka, Malaysia.
• "You / Client" — the individual or entity submitting a watch for service.
• "Service" — any watch repair, adjustment, or preservation work performed by us.
• "Agreement" — these Terms and Conditions as accepted by you when submitting a watch or confirming a service by any written or verbal means.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting a watch for assessment or service, whether in person, by post, or via enquiry form, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Services are available to persons aged 18 and over who have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. By proceeding, you confirm you are the lawful owner of the watch, or are authorised to submit it for service on the owner's behalf.

3. Service Description

We currently offer the following services:

• Watch Band Sizing — bracelet adjustment to wrist size
• Date Mechanism Repair — diagnosis and repair of date complication faults
• Museum-Grade Preservation — condition survey, conservative cleaning, and archival storage preparation for collector pieces

Services are available to clients in Malaysia and, by prior arrangement, to clients submitting watches by secure post from outside Malaysia. We reserve the right to decline any submission at our discretion.

4. Assessment & Pricing

All services are subject to a preliminary assessment. A price will be communicated before any work begins. Quoted prices are fixed and will not change without your explicit prior agreement.

If, during the course of a service, an issue is discovered that would require additional work or cost, we will contact you before proceeding. You are free to decline at that point, and your watch will be returned with a written note of our findings. Where work has not yet begun, there is no charge for the assessment.

All prices are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes where required by law.

5. Payment Terms

Payment is due on collection of the completed watch. We accept cash, bank transfer, and major debit or credit cards. Payment must be received in full before the watch is returned.

Watches not collected within sixty days of notification of completion may be subject to storage charges of MYR 10 per day. Watches uncollected after one hundred and twenty days may, after further written notice, be treated as abandoned property under applicable Malaysian law.

6. Service Delivery & Turnaround

Indicative turnaround times are provided at enquiry. These are estimates and may vary depending on parts availability, the condition of the watch, or workshop capacity. We will notify you of any material delay.

Turnaround times are calculated in working days (Monday to Friday, excluding Malaysian public holidays).

7. Client Responsibilities

• You must provide accurate information about the watch and any known history of previous repairs or damage.
• You confirm that the watch is your property, or that you are authorised to submit it.
• You are responsible for providing a secure delivery method if sending a watch by post.
• You are responsible for collecting or arranging collection of the watch within the period stated above.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on our website — text, photographs, and other materials — is our property or is used with permission. You may not reproduce or distribute this content without written consent. Condition survey photographs taken of your watch remain part of our service records; copies are provided to you as part of the preservation service report.

9. Disclaimers

Watch repair involves inherent risk, particularly with aged, fragile, or previously repaired pieces. We take reasonable care with every watch in our possession, but we cannot warrant specific outcomes in all cases — particularly where a movement is significantly worn, parts are unavailable, or prior unauthorised repairs have left components in an unknown state.

Our services are provided in good faith. We do not make assurances about the future performance or longevity of any watch following a service. We do not provide valuations or authentication opinions.

10. Limitation of Liability

In the event that a watch is damaged while in our care due to our negligence, our liability is limited to the fair market value of the watch at the time of submission, or the cost of equivalent repair by a third party, whichever is lower. We maintain workshop insurance for this purpose.

We are not liable for pre-existing faults or deterioration that becomes apparent during service but was not caused by our work. We will document any such findings and discuss them with you before proceeding.

11. Termination

You may withdraw from a service at any time before work has begun, at no charge. Once work has commenced, reasonable costs for materials and time expended may apply. We may decline or discontinue a service if we become aware of misrepresentation regarding the watch or your authority to submit it.

12. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute, we ask that you contact us directly in the first instance. We will make a genuine effort to resolve concerns amicably within fourteen working days.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any unresolved dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. The version published on this page at the time of your submission applies to that transaction. Material changes will be noted by an updated "Last Updated" date.
