"I brought in a Seiko that my late father wore for twenty years. The date had been misbehaving for a while and I'd kept putting off doing anything about it. Hafiz explained the issue clearly before touching anything, and the quote was fair. When I collected it, the watch ran perfectly for the first time in years."

"The bracelet on my watch had always been slightly too large and I'd worn it that way for three years. After band sizing at Orison Temps, I noticed the difference the same evening. It sat properly on my wrist for the first time. Small service, but the result was noticeable straight away."

"I used the preservation service for a Swiss watch I inherited. What I valued most was the condition report — it described in proper detail what the watch looks like right now, photographed properly. That document has value for insurance purposes as much as anything else. The pouch it came back in was a thoughtful detail."

"I appreciated that they told me what they found before asking me to decide. Other places I had visited before seemed to just go ahead and do things. Here, the conversation happened first. That made a difference to how I felt about leaving the watch with them."

"I had a minor worry about the bracelet sizing — one of the links seemed slightly different after I got home. I sent a message, and they asked me to bring it back at no charge. It turned out to be nothing, but the willingness to look at it again without question was reassuring."

"A colleague who collects watches suggested Orison Temps for a piece I was thinking of holding long term. I drove down from KL specifically. The preservation service was thorough — I left knowing the watch had been assessed by someone who understood what they were looking at. The condition report is well written and detailed."

Detailed Client Stories
A 1978 Swiss movement with a forty-year-old date problem
The Situation
A client from Muar brought in his grandfather's watch — a Swiss automatic from 1978 that had been running but displaying the date incorrectly for as long as anyone could remember. He wanted to know if the complication could be repaired or if it was better left alone.
The Work
The date jumper spring had lost its tension through age. A replacement compatible with the calibre was sourced, the driving finger was cleaned and reset, and the date wheel was aligned. The watch was monitored across several days before being returned.
The Outcome
The date now changes cleanly at midnight and advances correctly. Turnaround was seven working days including parts sourcing. The client noted that this was the first time in his life the watch's date had functioned properly.

Preparing an investment watch for long-term storage
The Situation
A collector in Melaka had acquired a 1960s Swiss dress watch as a purchase he intended to hold for ten years or more. The watch was in good cosmetic condition but had been in various storage situations. He wanted it properly assessed and protected before storage.
The Work
A full condition survey was conducted with macro photography of all surfaces. The movement was inspected without disassembly — no faults were found. External surfaces were conservatively cleaned and treated with archival-grade protection. The caseback seal was assessed.
The Outcome
The watch was returned in a sealed controlled-environment pouch alongside a fifteen-page condition report with seventy-two photographs. The client now has a documented baseline for the watch's condition at a specific point in time — useful for both insurance and eventual sale.
